For four S.A. Fairview players, years of hard work, dedication, and commitment have led to an incredible opportunity.
After competing in a highly competitive tryout featuring more than 100 players, Jhosel Ortiz, Joshua Valladares, Andy Batres, and Michael Gutierrez were selected to travel to Madrid, Spain to participate in MADCUP 2026, one of the world’s premier international youth soccer tournaments.
Representing both S.A. Fairview and the Fairview community, these players will compete alongside talented athletes from around the world while showcasing their abilities in front of coaches, academies, and professional scouts.
What makes this achievement even more special is that these players have been part of the S.A. Fairview family for approximately 5–6 years, beginning their journeys at the U9 and U10 levels. Through years of training, competition, and development, they have earned an opportunity that many young players dream of.
Jhosel Ortiz and Joshua Valladares will represent S.A. Fairview as attacking players, while Andy Batres and Michael Gutierrez will showcase their talents as defenders.
MADCUP is one of the largest international youth soccer tournaments in the world, bringing together clubs and players from numerous countries to compete at a high level. The event provides young athletes with valuable international experience and the opportunity to be seen by coaches, academies, and scouts from across the soccer world.
At S.A. Fairview, moments like this reinforce the mission that has guided our club from the very beginning. Our focus has never been on recognition or personal success. It has always been about creating affordable opportunities for local players to develop their skills, build confidence, and pursue their goals through the game they love.
The selection of these four players is a reflection of years of dedication, consistency, and commitment. It also serves as an example of what can be achieved when player development remains the priority.
As they travel from Fairview, New Jersey to Madrid, Spain, they carry with them the pride of their families, teammates, coaches, and community.
This journey is about more than soccer. It is a reminder that with the right environment, support system, and passion for the game, local players can earn opportunities to compete on an international stage. S.A. Fairview remains committed to developing players, supporting families, and keeping the game accessible and affordable for those who simply love to play.
